Kay Web Photography- Illustrating Your Life Story.
For all of you that have been with us from the beginning, and those just finding us for the first time, welcome! We truly appreciate the support that you have shown. If there is one thing that we love at KWP, it’s telling a good story!
I’m Katie Weber, the owner, photographer, bookkeeper, head-marketing director, and oh, well you get the picture! But don’t be confused- I’m not a one-man band! I have a great team that stands behind me and helps create magic on sessions and limited edition sets as well as some behind-the-scenes work! I was first introduced to photography through my local 4-H Program. It was there that my love of photography grew and also where KWP originated. When I was in high school, I began under “Pretty Peepers Photography”- thankfully I outgrew that awesome name quickly! Many of my first clients have stayed with me through the years. One such family is Greg and Jill Jones. Mr. Jones was my teacher in high school and was the one who dubbed me Kay Web. It stuck and evolved into Kay Web Photography.
After graduating from Orchard Farm High School, I attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. I graduated in 2009 with a degree in Photography and Graphic Design, and came back to St. Charles to expand KWP even further.During my time at UCM, I had the opportunity to connect with some of the top photographers in the United States; Sandy Puc, Ann Monteith, and Mark Weber, and am blessed to call them mentors. I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). This association has been an integral part in the growth of KWP since 2009, and I am currently working toward earning the title of Master of Photography.
After six months of working out of an 8×9’ bedroom, it became painfully clear that a larger space was going to be needed in order to expand the business. In November of 2009, construction of the KWP Studio started on my family farm. By May of 2010, it was completed and the real learning began. It has been an educational experience, but one that has been worth it. My parents, Jim and Carrie Weber, have shown an endless supply of encouragement and I will be eternally grateful for the support they have given.
One of the parts of my business that I love most is the unique style we have enhanced over the years. While my personal style tends to be more country, I love the urban mix we can throw into it! I hope to be able to get to know you better, so please, take a moment to fill out the form on the Contact Us! page. Thank you for stopping by, and taking the time to learn more about KWP.
